In one paragraph
The stock module holds items, deliveries and stocktakes, and recipes bind every dish to its ingredients. Each sale deducts proportionally, so you see cost and margin per dish in real time. Stocktakes run from a barcode scanner or a phone camera, in a counting session that shows the variance against theoretical stock.
How it works, in four steps
- 01
Set up items and units
Kilos, litres, pieces. With a barcode where one exists, with your own code where it does not.
- 02
Record deliveries
By hand or automatically through the Xodroulis integration, with a purchase price per batch.
- 03
Bind recipes
150g pork, 40g cheese, one pita. The cost of the dish is derived, not guessed.
- 04
Count with the scanner
A stocktake session, a scan, a quantity. At the end you see the variance in euros.
What it includes
- Scanner stocktakes
- A barcode handheld or a phone camera. Two people can count in the same session at once.
- Recipe costing
- Cost and margin per dish, kept current with the latest purchase price.
- Low-stock alerts
- A threshold per item, with a warning before it runs out on a Friday night.
- Theoretical vs actual
- What should have been left against what is left, in euros — that is where waste shows.
- Supplier deliveries
- The Xodroulis integration turns supplier orders into stock movements.
FAQ
What people ask before they start
Do I need a barcode scanner?
Not necessarily — a phone camera works. A cheap scanner does make a stocktake about three times faster, and you can get one from our shop.
Do I have to enter every recipe?
Not on day one. Start with the ten dishes that sell most; most of the cost is hiding there.
Does it work with a scale?
Quantities accept decimals, so you weigh and enter. There is no direct scale integration today.
