Comparison
Makker or WinPOS? A comparison guide
Point-of-sale software with a long presence in the Greek market.
WinPOS is one of the names you meet across years of the Greek point-of-sale market. Makker is a modern, browser-based food-service system: it runs on a PC, a tablet and a phone with no per-machine install, updates centrally, and covers the floor, the kitchen, delivery, platforms, reservations, rewards and ERGANI. The real question is not the software's age but the channels you need today.
The table you take to the meeting
Print it or show it from your phone. Makker's column is filled in; the vendor fills in the next one in front of you.

When to choose WinPOS
If you already have an installed system that covers your activity, a local technician who knows it well, and switching solves no actual problem.
When Makker fits better
If you want ordering from a phone, a kitchen display, your own delivery site and staff compliance without adding three more vendors — and updates without a technician's visit.
Migrating from WinPOS
Ask for a CSV export of the catalog. We set up catalog and tables in a day and keep the old system available until you are sure.
Price
Makker publishes its pricing: from €49 per month per venue, excluding VAT, with no multi-year lock-in. Ask every vendor for a written price that covers licences, modules, support and anything charged one-off.

What people ask before they start
Will I have to change printers?
Usually not. We work with 80mm ESC/POS thermal printers, networked or USB. If yours does not print Greek properly we will tell you before you buy anything.
What happens to my old data?
It stays where it is and remains available to your accountant. Makker starts clean from the switchover date you choose.
