Kitchen

Every station sees only its own

The grill does not need to read the drinks list. Routing happens per item, not per order.

In one paragraph

Makker's kitchen display shows each station only the items that station cooks, in the order they were asked for, with the wait time visible. The cook bumps with one tap and the waiter sees it on their phone. Where a thermal printer exists, the slip prints alongside.

How it works, in four steps

  1. 01

    Define the stations

Grill, fryer, cold, bar, desserts. Every product declares which station it belongs to.

  2. 02

    The order splits itself

A table with a salad, a steak and a bottle of wine appears on three different screens.

  3. 03

    The clock runs

Each ticket shows how long it has waited. Past your threshold it turns amber, then red.

  4. 04

    Bump

One tap clears it from the queue and tells the waiter it is ready.

What it includes

One screen per station
Cheap Android tablets or any machine with a browser. No proprietary hardware.
Courses with a fire command
Held items sit greyed out until the floor releases them.
Times per dish and per night
You see which dish holds the kitchen up, not just that “Friday was slow”.
Slip and screen together
Some stations work better on paper. The same item can go to both.
Prints offline
The print agent lives inside the venue, so slips keep coming out when the line drops.

FAQ

What people ask before they start

What tablet do I need?

Anything running a modern Chrome or Safari. Our shop lists tested models with a stand and power, to buy or lease.

Can I have both a screen and a printer?

Yes. Routing is defined per station and per product, so the same item can show on screen and print.

How does the waiter know it is ready?

The moment it is bumped, the table changes state on the waiter's phone and on the till's table map.
