Comparison

Makker or Ordio? A comparison guide

A Greek ordering platform for food service.

Ordio addresses Greek food service with an emphasis on order-taking. Makker covers order-taking with a PWA on the waiter's own phone, and adds a till with offline operation, a kitchen display per station, your own commission-free delivery site, caller ID, rewards and the ERGANI work card — with published pricing. Compare on the channels you actually use, not on the length of the list.

The table you take to the meeting

Print it or show it from your phone. Makker's column is filled in; the vendor fills in the next one in front of you.

We state what Makker does and leave the Ordio column as a question to put to them. We have not audited their current feature set, and we will not print a “no” next to a name we did not verify. Take the table with you to the meeting.

When to choose Ordio

If your need is mainly wireless order-taking, if their commercial offer suits you, and if you have already solved delivery and compliance elsewhere.

When Makker fits better

If you want one system instead of three, if delivery is a meaningful share of turnover, or if you want to see the price before entering a quote process.

Migrating from Ordio

Export catalog and customer register as CSV. Staff train in one shift, because the waiter app runs on the phone they already hold.

Price

Makker publishes its pricing: from €49 per month per venue, excluding VAT, with no multi-year lock-in. Ask every vendor for a written price that covers licences, modules, support and anything charged one-off.

FAQ

What people ask before they start

Do I need new handhelds for the waiters?

No. The app runs on the phones your staff already have, through the browser.

How quickly can I start?

Catalog and tables are typically set up in a day, and modules switch on gradually.

See it with your own menu and your own tables

Tell us a little about the venue and we will show you Makker set up with your own data — catalog, tables, documents.
