Waiter
The order leaves the table, not the till
A waiter should not have to cross the room to ring in three ouzos. The app runs on their own phone, with nothing to install from a store.

In one paragraph
Makker's ordering app is a PWA that opens on every waiter's phone. It shows their tables and all tables, takes orders with courses and kitchen notes, collects cash or card, and keeps a cash balance per waiter for the shift handover.
How it works, in four steps
- 01
Sign in with a PIN or QR
Two seconds, no passwords and no emails. The device stays bound to the shift.
- 02
Open a table
From the map or by scanning the table QR. Whatever is rung in, the kitchen sees at once.
- 03
Fire the course
Mains leave when the waiter says so, not when the slip printed.
- 04
Hand over the shift
The balance closes and both sides confirm it. No “we'll sort it tomorrow”.
What it includes
- Runs on their own phone
- Android or iPhone, through the browser. You are not buying a handheld per person.
- Courses
- Starters, mains, desserts. Hold and release per course so the table is not buried at once.
- Modifiers and notes
- No onion, well done, on a separate plate. The note reaches the station, not just the air.
- Payment at the table
- Cash, or push the amount to the card terminal. The guest does not queue at the till.
- Cash per waiter
- Every payment is attributed to whoever took it, with every cash drop recorded.
FAQ
What people ask before they start
Do we need special handhelds?
No. It runs on the phones your staff already carry. If you prefer venue-owned devices you can buy or lease them from us, pre-configured.
What happens when Wi-Fi drops in the garden?
The order goes into a local queue and leaves as soon as signal is back. The waiter can see what has not been sent yet.
Can a waiter see another waiter's tables?
Yes, if you let them. The role decides whether they see only their own, all tables, or all tables with permission to take payment.
